The Pacific War Speakeasy Podcast 🎙️ is a new podcast series where we talk about History, but also stupid things like anime, gaming, Godzilla, movies and drink a lot (Ft. Ian and Charlotte)
➡️ The Pacific War Speakeasy Podcast is a series where Craig and his fellow History loving friends can talk more openly about other things like anime, gaming, Godzilla and of course all while drinking profusely. Did you know Sir Winston Churchill would get so drunk with FDR he was considered a threat to his health!
➡️ In this episode we cover: what is a speakeasy? The 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the initial invasions during the Pacific War of Malaya, Singapore, the Philippines and Dutch East Indies. Stupid anime girl battleship hybrids. How crazy Douglas MacArthur was. The argument of battleships vs Aircraft Carriers. What it means to be a Quebecois. The horror of firebombing campaigns during WW2. The many hilarious Sir Winston Churchill drinking stories and how he was public enemy number one at the White House. Lastly our predictions for Godzilla vs Kong and the hilarious history of Godzilla.
➡️ Do you like history, anime, gaming, godzilla or just idiots drinking and talking in general? This is the podcast for you! We still will talk in-depth about the Pacific War of 1937-1945, but we might also add a few Gundam's into the mix or ask if the Kido Butai could take down Godzilla.

In defense of General MacArthur, the US Army had little training, motivation, and low morale. MacArthur at the time was a political powerhouse that the entire nation was supporting at the that hour. My dad was in the Army and he was an Aide to General Hospelhorn. His opinion of General Hospelhorn was that he was the best commander in WW2. As a political figure he was able to galvanize the Army in the Pacific and was a high morale booster which on the battlefield is an X factor in war.
